I ve had the good luck to meet many participants who ve been selected for kaun banega crorepati and so would like to share a few unknown facts with the people who are very interested in getting selected..so here i tell you all some very valuable information on how to get selected to the hotseat by using your brains

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q1a. I am answering all the qualification questions of kaun banega crorepati.When can I expect a callback from the crorepati team?

Ans. Almost at all times the callback  comes within two days or maximum 3 days after the lines have closed for that particular question  and most of the calls come the next day itself.i.e- if u ve answered the question shown at 7 am on Monday and the lines get closed on Tuesday at 9 30 the call back for that particular question should start coming from Wednesday morning till thursday evening and in rare cases friday also..and if it doesn’t come by three full days there s no point in breaking your head and losing your sleep thinking the callback might still come..and you can safely assume you weren’t in the shortlisted list and you wont get call back for that particular question.

Q1b. Do they call back on a Sunday?

Ans. Yes they do but the number of callbacks are less on a Sunday than weekdays.

Q2. What are the timings during which the callback comes?

Ans. The callbacks start coming at sharp 9 am till 6 40 pm(but u can wait till 7pm to avoid risk).callbacks never come after 7 pm and before 9am and there is no point in worrying if the callback ll come then.you can relax n have bath n get ready at 9 am and be alert afterwards to attend calls.

Q3.I was a bit busy with work and I missed some calls from unknown numbers today,I m scared if one of the numbers is from kbc team.how to know if the number i missed was their number?

Ans. They call from many numbers and they all are landline numbers.
So to check if the call u got is from them u need to dial back and see..if u get the engaging beep sound in the beginning  everytime u call back,it means that number could be from the kbc team only.(but plz don’t keep doing this as soon you ve got the call bcoz when they call back 2nd time to your number within 30 minutes ur phone ll be engaged and u ll miss the chance)

Both the 1st callback and calback inviting for audition come form these numbers..beware of frauds who call from other numbers telling that you are selected and then ask three questions and then ask money to get you selected for auditions..

Q4.I was busy and I got a call from the above numbers but I couldn’t pick it up.i m feeling very bad,will they call back?

Ans. Hey cheer up!.they will call back.i got a call on 11:19 a.m which i missed and the called me back on 11:45… So they call back within half an hour only and only once more and your duty is to keep yourself free and be in an area where there s good network coverage…

If there s bad network in your area you can just drive to a city centre or hilly area.And you must be prepared to receive that call at any cost coz…Who knows?That one call could change your entire life story.

Q5.I got a call at 6 30 and I missed it.they didn’t call back.now what to do?

Ans. Dont worry brother!you ll get the first call from them tomorrow first thing in the morning at 9a.m.i know this bcoz its happened to me .u can count on me for sure.(they calculate that one call ll take 20 minutes and don’t call after 6 40 )

Q6.What happens in the call back?what do they ask?

Ans. At first the customer care executive speaks to you and confirms whether you called and after taking your permission to continue he asks your age and pincode to verify if u are the same person who has registered by sms.

be careful here bcoz if you tell even one number wrong in pincode or age(no one does that) he ll say “he s sorry bcoz the pin number doesn’t match the details given in registration and he ll immediately disconnect.”

After confirmation of pincode and age he ll ask what id proof u ll be taking for the audition venue and note it down.(u ve to take same id card u ve told in phone to venue-so be careful)

after getting the details he ll ask for the address and the pincode in the address and the registration sms or call  should match the pin in the id proof.

then he ll transfer the call to automatic IVR mode which ll ask you three questions.

Q7.What are the type of questions asked in IVR and how much time s given?

Ans.All ivr instructions ll be in hindi only, The IVR starts asking the questions(in hindi only) and the questions depend on which place you belong to.

If u r from metros like delhi,Mumbai or from south india questions are tough(I ll explain reason later) but if u r outside metros they are somewhat easy..

3 questions ll be asked.out of these 1 will be very very easy(usually the 1st)

and the other two will be somewhat easy.

u ll be given ten seconds to answer each question by pressing the respective number for the choice i.e 1 for choice a,2 for choice b and so on.

after u mark the question it ll say press 1 to confirm or 2 to repeat the question.

if u don’t enter any choice the question ll be repeated again only once.if u fail to answer the second time the ivr will move to the next question.after answering all questions the ivr will say thanks and disconnect the call.

Q8.What if I answer the first two questions wrong?

Ans.Well last time the same thing happened to me but I m not sure how it is this time.so here s what happened-

on answering both the first and second question wrong the ivr replays the second question(you ll get confused why its playing again when u ve confirmed the choice) and gives us a choice to mark the second question correctly in the second attempt.so this time u ve to be careful not to mark the same choice u marked earlier in the first attempt.but if u mark the second question wrong in the second attempt also the call gets disconnected and the third question wont be asked.

Q9.How many questions must be answered to get selected?

Ans. You must answer all three questions to get selected for the auditions.but if u r lucky or are from a rural zone where only few people have called, u may get selected even if u get two right but I cant guarantee you this…so its always better to answer all 3 questions right.

Q10.How many people who are called back get selected for the auditions?

Ans.One out of every three call backs get selected for auditions.

Q11.When will I get call from the team that I m selected for auditions?

Ans. Usually call backs inviting for auditions come within three full days between 9 a.m and 6 40 p.m from the same numbers  which they use to call back in the 1^st round.If u r selected u ll get a call within  8 days of opening of lines for 1st question..but there is no harm in waiting and u can wait,at the most till tuesday n see.

but after that its my sincere advice for all of u not to have any hope that u ll still receive a call after tuesday and break your head thinking about it.

Q12..Why is it difficult to qualify for auditions from Metros?

Ans. As u all know Metros have a very huge population and almost all of them have a mobile phone compared to other areas of India. So naturally about 50% of the entries come from Metros but according to their rules to give equal representation to all areas based on TRPs only about 34% people are selected from Metros. So to filter the people in the callback ivr round they ask little tough questions and the choices are very confusing.Usually 1 question is very tough of the three in the Metros. i ll give some examples-

Metros-

a.Uttarakumaara

c.Kuru

2.What is the meaning of purna swaraj in context with the Indian independence movement?

a.complete independence

b.Home rule

You can clearly see how easy the questions were for people outside Metros.

Q13.The most important question is does multiple entries guarantee callback and selection?

Ans. Well…no one knows for sure!i ve seen people who have got selected with just one entry in one of the days as well as people sending lots of entries in a day in equal numbers.so no one knows actually.

Q14.My friends allready have started getting calls that they are selected for auditions but i haven't even received my first call in which they ask 3 questions.should i wait or are the selections over for this time and i have no chance of getting selected now?

Ans. Hey....dont panic...It isnt the end of the road.u have chance of getting callback up to 3 days after the call lines have closed for the particular question u ve answered..i mean if u answered a question on tuesday n lines were closing on tuesday for that qualification question u may get calls till friday evening but not after that....but for those who ve got their 1st call on monday they ll get the call inviting them for the auditions within 3 days i.e within thursday..its a first come first serve policy.so though your friends got the callback invitation on thursday u may still get the first callback(where they ask 3 questions) after them depending on when u ve registered thru sms or callback.

Q15.Is there any priority given to people who ve registered by directly calling them compared to those who ve registered by sms?

Ans.No...both people have equal chances of qualifying.

Q16.Is there any priority given to Idea customers compared to other cellphone network customers in the normal qualification round(not Idea round)?

Ans.No..in the normal qualification registration customers of any network have equal chances of qualifying...But in the Idea special round only Idea customers are eligible to register and participate.
